Hand Baggage
In addition to your standard checked baggage allowance, you may bring cabin baggage on board for your journey with Somali Airlines, as set out below.
Business Class
CabinEconomy Class
Cabin- In addition to the free cabin allowance, passengers may carry one duty-free bag in the cabin, as described in the accessories column above.
- Infants under 2 years not occupying a seat are allowed one piece of cabin baggage, maximum 12 kg and maximum dimensions 55 × 22 × 38 cm.
- Where an infant or small child is seated on a passenger seat and requires an approved restraint (such as a car seat) for comfort and safety on board, the car seat may be carried in addition to the normal free cabin baggage allowance. The accompanying adult is responsible for installing the car seat on board in line with the manufacturer's safety instructions.
- Certain airports or airlines may apply further restrictions on cabin baggage size, weight, or quantity. Where this applies, an otherwise-eligible piece will be checked in free of charge provided it is within the cabin baggage weight allowance; if it is not, standard excess baggage charges apply.
Baggage Allowance — Checked Baggage
The free checked baggage allowances below apply to Somali Airlines–operated flights and may vary depending on the aircraft type in operation on the day of travel. Flights operated by partner airlines under a Somali Airlines flight number may be subject to that operating carrier's baggage policy.

Excess & Special Baggage
Baggage exceeding the free allowance — by piece, weight, or size — is subject to excess baggage charges, payable at check-in.
Sporting equipment, musical instruments, and other oversized items may be carried as checked baggage subject to size limits and applicable fees; contact Somali Airlines in advance to confirm acceptance.
Fragile or valuable items are carried at the passenger's own risk; Somali Airlines recommends carrying high-value items in the cabin where permitted.
